Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced International Removals Porter/Driver to join our team at Red Recruit. As a specialist in fine art shipping and removals, you will play a crucial role in the safe and efficient transportation of valuable artworks and antiques internationally.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Transportation and Handling: Safely and efficiently drive company vehicles, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations, while maintaining the integrity and security of the transported items.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain company vehicles, equipment, and tools, reporting any issues or malfunctions promptly to the appropriate personnel.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Ensure all necessary paperwork and documentation is complete – i.e., delivery notes, item inventories customs documentation.
  • Customer Service: Provide regular updates to clients, addressing concerns, and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Industry Knowledge: Keep up to date with industry trends, best practices, and relevant regulations related to fine art shipping and removals.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Strong experience within the Fine Art Shipping or Removals industry, along with a clean driving license and excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and documentation is advantageous.
  • Physical Fitness: Excellent physical fitness and stamina, as the role involves heavy lifting and physical exertion.
  • Specialized Skills: Familiarity with specialized equipment and techniques used in fine art handling and packing is a plus.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to handle delicate and valuable items with extreme care and attention to detail.
