We are seeking an experienced Project Planning & Quality Team Leader to join our team at the Waimakariri District Council.

Job Description:

In this leadership role, you will provide direction, coaching, and mentoring to your team of three Technical Administrators, who work closely with the Development Team (subdivisions) but also the wider Utilities & Roading department and other Teams throughout the Council.

You will lead by example through the delivery of a customer-focused service, deliver and oversee a wide range of complex projects, and draw on previous Project Management and local government experience to achieve success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Technical Administrators to achieve project goals and objectives
  • Provide technical support and guidance to team members
  • Deliver and oversee a wide range of complex projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in Project Management and leadership
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of local government processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
