About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Principal Designer and CDM Advisor to join our team at John Rowan and Partners. As a key member of our multidisciplinary consultancy, you will play a vital role in solving property and construction challenges worldwide.

This exciting role will involve working on a variety of projects across the public and private sectors, including new build, refurbishment, tall building remediation, and maintenance schemes.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Work on multiple projects across London, the Home Counties, and the Southeast, visiting sites and reporting, as well as representing John Rowan and Partners to clients and contractors.
  2. Collaborate with our clients and internal teams to deliver projects in a safe and compliant manner.
  3. Provide clear, concise, and practical Health and Safety advice, guidance, and coaching to project teams throughout all stages of the project.
  4. Plan, manage, monitor, and coordinate pre-construction phases of projects to identify, eliminate, or control significant and foreseeable risks relating to construction, maintenance, cleaning, and using the building as a workplace.
  5. Attend client meetings and carry out H&S site inspections, delivering high-quality reports to the client within agreed deadlines.
Requirements
  • Relevant experience in delivering Principal Designer and CDM Advisor roles in the residential refurbishment, development, and commercial sector.
  • Demonstrable previous experience in successfully delivering similar roles.
  • Ideal NEBOSH Construction Certificate holder.
  • Ideal incorporated member of the Association for Project Safety (IMaPs).
  • Full and clean driver's license.
  • Willingness to travel to varied sites across London, the Home Counties, and the Southeast.
