Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Hygiene team, including rota, holiday cover, and training.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and oversee internal and external audits.
  • Develop and implement robust risk-assessed hygiene systems and cleaning instruction cards.
  • Deliver and coordinate cleaning training as needed.
  • Ensure the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of quality, safety, hygiene, and environmental standards.
  • Support the engineering function in cleaning and stay up-to-date with new cleaning technologies.
  • Manage and order stock of chemicals, cleaning equipment, and lab consumables.
  • Own and manage the online Hygiene system.
  • Manage PPE systems, invoicing, and pest control and waste management.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and effective utilization of cleaning chemicals.
  • Excellent IT skills, including experience with Google Workspace.
  • Ability to generate and maintain risk assessments.
