Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Receptionist to join our dynamic team at the Endoscopy Department of Scunthorpe General Hospital, part of Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and have experience in administration and patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  1. To provide exceptional reception services to patients, including face-to-face interactions and telephone support.
  2. To coordinate and enter appointments, investigations, admissions, and discharges into the hospital's system, ensuring timely completion and accuracy.
  3. To prepare health records for new and follow-up attendances, ensuring all relevant documentation is available and filed correctly.
  4. To manage and retrieve health records, utilizing tracking systems to ensure efficient retrieval and resolution of missing notes issues.
  5. To liaise with clinical and clerical staff regarding DNA's and cancellations, taking appropriate action to manage patient flow in accordance with the Trust's Patient Access Policy.
  6. To handle general enquiries, including telephone calls related to patient admissions, taking messages and initiating necessary actions.

Salary: £20,000 - £25,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
