Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional technical support to customers, leveraging your expertise in Optics simulation techniques to ensure high-quality, timely service.
  • Take ownership of customer problems, proactively engaging with selected accounts to deliver comprehensive Optics solutions.
  • Develop and deliver training classes, contributing to the delivery of professional services for projects that may involve collaborative work with other application engineers.
  • Gather customer requirements to inform the improvement of Ansys software, collaborating with product development teams to translate these needs into new product capabilities.
  • Work on multiple complex projects across geographically diverse locations, projecting a professional image and demonstrating business acumen.
Requirements
  • Hands-on experience with commercial optical software tools, such as Zemax OpticStudio, Code V, LucidShape, Speos, LightTools, and Lumerical.
  • Demonstrated strong knowledge of Optical Theory.
  • Fluent in writing and speaking English.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Familiarity with Python.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Preferred education and years of professional experience in an engineering software environment: MS+5 or PhD+0.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in application engineering, customer support, or consulting services type customer-facing roles.
  • Demonstrated skills using optical software Speos, Zemax OpticStudio, and Lumerical.
