Job Summary:The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing emergency and routine general medical services to eligible patients, including children, adults, and elderly individuals. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care, working collaboratively with the healthcare team, and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide high-standard nursing services in accordance with sound professional nursing principles and adapt services to meet the basic and special needs of patients.
- Systematically assess patient care needs through analysis of data gained through interviews with patients and/or family, review of health records, and consultation with physicians and other staff members.
- Constantly reassess needs based on patients' response to medical and nursing regimes.
- Recognize the difference between dependent and independent nursing activities and practice accordingly.
- Carry out nursing and medical plans as delegated and utilize critical thinking in setting priorities.
- Initiate appropriate follow-up action to ensure continuity of care.
- Provide comprehensive nursing care that is appropriate, safe, and timely.
- Administer therapeutic measures as prescribed by physicians, such as medications, immunizations, treatments, intravenous fluids, naso-gastric suction, irrigations, etc.
- Set up, operate, and monitor specialized equipment and evaluate results.
- Provide appropriate nursing intervention in all phases of care, including initiating emergency measures in emergency situations.
- Evaluate nursing care based on established standards and criteria and participate in quality assurance activities, such as nursing audits, infection control, and nursing care conferences.
- Provide age-appropriate nursing care for neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
- Receive assignments daily from the supervisor or lead nurse.
- Communicate appropriate information to members of the healthcare team verbally and in writing in a professional and timely manner via written care plans, nursing services reports, patient records, assignment sheets, and participating in physician rounds, patient care conferences, and staff meetings.
- Consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years.
- Ability to use a computer to communicate via email and proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and related tools and technology required for the position.
- Education: A graduate or higher-level degree, bachelor's degree, associate degree, or diploma from an accredited professional nursing educational program is required.
- Qualification: Candidate must hold an unencumbered nursing license from within the United States and hold and maintain a Basic Life Support Certification (BLS).
- Work Schedule: Duty hours are eight (8) hours per day between the hours of 8:00 am to 6:30 pm Monday through Friday. Overtime hours may apply but will only be used when necessary.
- U.S. Citizenship Required - You must be a United States Citizen.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- All ProSidian staff must be determined eligible for a "Facility Access Authorization" by the USG's designated Security Office.
- ProSidian Team Members shall meet all the Indian Health Services educational requirements, to include annual security and privacy training. All mandatory courses must be completed by the ProSidian Team Members staff as required by the IHS.
