Academic Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Academic Director to join our team at Twin English Centre Eastbourne. As a key member of our academic leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality academic programs and services that meet the needs of our students.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the academic services section, including academic administration, student welfare, and UKVI compliance.
- Develop and implement academic policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Lead the development and delivery of academic programs, including curriculum design, teaching and learning resources, and assessment.
- Manage the recruitment, induction, and development of academic staff, including teachers and support staff.
- Ensure the effective management of student services, including student administration, student welfare, and student safety.
- Collaborate with other departments, including operations, admissions, marketing, and IT, to ensure seamless delivery of academic services.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, including universities, colleges, and other educational institutions.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of academic programs and services, making recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including UKVI and Accreditation UK.
- At least three years' full-time teaching experience, including experience with young learners.
- Experience working in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
- Experience working as part of a team.
- IT literate.
- Desirable: previous managerial experience, administrative experience, safeguarding training, customer service experience, and ability to speak a second language.
- Educated to degree level.
- Diploma level qualification (DELTA/Trinity TESOL Diploma and/or MA with a substantial element of observed teaching practice).
- HSE-recognised First Aid certificate (such as St John's First Aid at Work) desirable.

Successful applicants will be required to undertake a standard or an enhanced disclosure via the DBS, depending on the role itself. Successful candidates will be required to complete a one-hour on-line safeguarding training prior to commencing employment.
