Static Strength Analysis Opportunity


Searchability NS&D is seeking a skilled Static Strength Engineer to join our team in Filton.

  • Competitive hourly rate of up to £46ph inside IR35
  • Initial contract until the end of the year
  • Onsite in Filton with the option to work from home 2 days a week
  • 35 hour working week
  • BPSS clearance required (client will provide sponsorship)


Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for static strength analysis of metallic and composite structures, working closely with Design and F&DT engineers to assess and validate repairs to damaged aircraft structures. Other key responsibilities include:

  • Completing justification reports and other engineering documentation
  • Collaborating with skilled designers to develop optimum repairs
  • Utilizing ISAMI and Mathcad to perform structural static strength analysis of repairs


Requirements:

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

Previous repairs experienceAircraft Structural Engineering backgroundKnowledge of ISAMI and MathcadExperience using a range of hand and computer methods to complete static analysisThe ability to undergo a BPSS check
