Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Legal Services team as a Legal Assistant SARs. This is an exciting opportunity to support the team in providing an excellent service to our patients and staff.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing an appropriate point of contact during the Subject Access Request process, ensuring that applicants are informed of the progress of their request.
  • Identifying the appropriate information to disclose by using the hospital's computerised medical records systems (Meditech, Evolve & Cerner) and other systems.
  • Processing requests in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulations, Data Protection Act, Access to Medical Records Act, and Access to Medical Reports Act.
  • Ensuring that accurate and appropriate information is provided and that timescales are met in compliance with the above Acts.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Fantastic IT skills, including the ability to manage a variety of electronic databases and spreadsheets.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues and patients.
