About the Role
Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is partnering with a leading and growing business in the financial sector to recruit a dynamic and hands-on Senior Credit Controller/Team Leader based in their offices. A newly created growth position reporting into the Financial Director, taking full responsibility for the timely collection of debt across the group companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively managing the credit control processes across the group of companies, including the timely collection of debt and related accounts receivable processes.
- Oversight and supervision of one accounts receivable assistant, while remaining hands-on in cash allocation processes, approving and monitoring credit limits, escalating debt problems to senior management and debt/credit query resolution.
- Strong knowledge of the whole credit cycle, providing credit/debt reporting, support process improvements, and building relationships both internally and externally at all levels.
- Involved in ad-hoc credit and accounts receivable projects for senior management, with the role tailored around the right candidate.
Requirements
- Experience in a similar role, with strong knowledge of the whole credit cycle and accounts receivable processes including cash allocation.
- Strong MS Excel skills, the ability to manage workloads to deadlines, and excellent communication skills to build relationships both internally and externally at all levels.
- Proactive and hands-on, willing to learn and adapt to business needs, with a strong problem-solving ability.
- Experience working in groups with multiple business units or companies and knowledge of Sage and MS Business Central, would be advantageous but not essential.
What You'll Get
This permanent Senior Credit Control/Team Leader role offers a salary between £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience, with benefits including a contributed pension scheme, life assurance, critical illness cover, employee rewards scheme, discretionary bonus scheme, career progression, and more.
