About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Psychiatrist to join our team as an Associate Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing expert psychiatric care to adult in-patient wards and local communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, and create tailored treatment plans for patients.
  • Provide psychiatric and clinical leadership to the multidisciplinary team.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, addressing patients' biopsychosocial needs through outpatient contacts or multidisciplinary care programs.
  • Collaborate with other agencies and involve families and carers in treatment planning with patient consent.
  • Participate in teaching, clinical audits, quality assurance programs, and clinical governance.
  • Conduct Mental Health Act work within appropriate governance frameworks, ensuring patient, carer, staff, and community safety.
  • Develop clinical interests within the Trust's strategy and financial constraints, with possible dedicated sessions.
  • Flexibly respond to changing service requirements.
