**Job Title:** General Teaching Assistant (Year 3)

**Job Type:** Full-time, Monday to Friday, 29 hours per week.

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Teaching Assistant to support the class teacher in delivering high-quality education to Year 3 pupils. The successful candidate will provide assistance in classroom activities, small group work, and individual student support.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils in understanding lesson content and provide extra help where needed.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's policy.
  • Provide tailored support to individual students, including those with special educational needs or disabilities (SEND), to help them access the curriculum.
  • Implement SATS interventions to Year 6 pupils and support strategies designed by the teacher.
  • Assist the teacher in monitoring and assessing students' progress.
  • Provide feedback to students on their work, helping them understand their progress and areas for improvement.
  • Help to create a positive and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Manage equipment and resources in the classroom.

**Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • An understanding of child development and the specific needs of Year 3 pupils.
  • Ability to manage behaviour positively and in accordance with school policies.
  • Relevant experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
  • A good standard of general education.
  • A Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning).
