Job Title: Duty Manager

The Duty Manager plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our leisure centres. As a key member of the Wave Leisure Trust team, you will be responsible for leading and motivating your teams to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve high results.

Our leisure centres are at the heart of the community, providing a wide range of activities and services to people of all ages. As Duty Manager, you will be working closely with colleagues to ensure that our centres are safe, efficient, and welcoming environments for everyone.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate your teams to deliver high-quality customer service
  • Supervise staff and ensure that they are working effectively to meet targets and respond to changing priorities
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure that our centres are safe and efficient
  • Develop and implement plans to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty

Experience (Essential)

  • Staff supervision and team leadership experience

  • Ability to calculate figures for a wide range of applications

Qualifications (Essential)

  • National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ)

Qualifications (Desirable)

  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Pool Plant Operators Qualification
  • Coaching qualification in one or more sports

Skills (Essential)

  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Good organisational skills
  • Leadership and coaching experience
  • Excellent time management

  • Experience of recruiting, training, and developing staff
