Job Title: Community Engagement Worker

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Engagement Worker to join our team at Glasgow Council on Alcohol (GCA). As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing a community-based Alcohol Brief Intervention service in the wider community and primary care settings in Greater Glasgow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with local communities, statutory agencies, and voluntary organizations to promote our services and support the delivery of our mission.
  • Provide alcohol brief interventions to individuals and groups, using evidence-based approaches and working in partnership with other agencies.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of training and education programs for staff, volunteers, and community members.
  • Collaborate with our team to design and implement effective outreach strategies, ensuring our services are accessible and responsive to community needs.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of our services, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to the development of new initiatives.
