Welfare Officer

The Welfare Officer will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and safety of our students. This includes monitoring and supervising student residences, managing student behavior, and providing support to students who are sick or struggling.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and supervise student residences to ensure the proper safety, conduct, and well-being of residents
- Manage student behavior at all relevant times, being aware of the need to sanction or encourage as appropriate
- Support and care for sick students in camp, monitoring their condition and providing necessary assistance
- Carefully monitor host institution property, ensuring it is well-maintained and any damage reported and investigated
- Prioritize student safety above all else, following our Safeguarding and Health and Safety Policy
Requirements
Excellent communication and time management skills, flexibility, and adaptability to change, as well as a strong understanding of safeguarding principles and practices. A positive attitude to authority and maintaining discipline, with the ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children and young people.
