Accident and Emergency Nurse Manager

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Accident and Emergency Nurse to join our team at Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Cardiology Ward, ensuring the provision of safe, high-quality, and individualized care to patients. They will also be responsible for the line management and development of the ward staff, participating in the achievement of the ward's objectives, and contributing to the development of clinical audit and research-based activities.
Main Responsibilities:- Management: Line management and supervision of all grades of staff within the sphere of authority, allocation of workload, and reporting deficiencies to the Ward Leader as appropriate.
- Multidisciplinary Liaison: Liaison with all disciplines and departments that interface with care delivery, encouraging good working relationships between all members of the multidisciplinary team.
- Communications: Assisting in the development of communication systems and maintaining existing effective systems within the clinical area, with medical, paramedical, and support services staff, and with patients, relatives, and carers.
- Clinical Governance: Assisting the Ward Leader in setting, maintaining, and monitoring standards of care, actively supporting the development and implementation of a written nursing philosophy, and ensuring an approach to care that recognizes the needs and views of patients and their carers.
- Education & Training: Participating in ongoing personal professional development programs, teaching and developing all grades of staff, and creating and facilitating a learning environment conducive to the acquisition of further knowledge and skills.
- Research & Audit: Demonstrating a commitment to the development of research skills, assisting in the application and evaluation of current research findings, and supporting the development of multidisciplinary clinical audit at unit level.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. They will also have a strong commitment to patient-centered care, clinical governance, and education and training.
