At Grandir UK, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Room Leader to join our team at our Basingstoke nursery. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for providing professional leadership to all staff members and maintaining the highest standards of care and education.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and be able to ensure that practice and provision in the nursery meets the requirements of this framework. You will also be responsible for promoting high standards of quality within the nursery, supporting and supervising playroom staff, and deploying staff appropriately to ensure that the required standards are delivered and maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote high standards of quality within the nursery
  • Support and supervise playroom staff with their day-to-day duties
  • Deploy staff appropriately to ensure that the required standards are delivered and maintained within the rooms
  • Ensure the effective implementation of the nursery keycarer procedures and allocate children to keycarers appropriately
  • Ensure that practice and provision in the nursery meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • Provide professional, relevant feedback to parents/carers about their child
  • Promote the nursery to current parents and potential customers
  • Develop open and positive working relationships with staff
  • Ensure that all staff develop and maintain friendly, professional relationships with parents and carers
