Finance Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Operations Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a key member of the accounting department, you will be responsible for managing debt recovery and credit management processes. In this role, you will coordinate with existing creditors, assess creditworthiness, and make informed decisions on credit allowances. You will also communicate and enforce credit policy to sales and customers.
- Collection of past due amounts through direct debit, emails, calls, and dunning letters.
- Reviewing credit hold reports and releasing orders as necessary.
- Communicating and enforcing credit policy to sales and customers.
- Accounts reconciliations from bank statements.
- Reviewing customer account applications, assigning credit limits, and terms.
- Reporting risk issues and aged customers to the finance manager and sales team.
- Frequent communication with the manager regarding problems, solutions, and ideas to improve the credit department and contribute to achieving departmental and company goals.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Finance preferred.
- 4+ years of credit experience, preferably in wholesale/distribution environments dealing with large account bases.
- Understanding of collection patterns.
- Strong credit and financial analysis skills.
- Well-versed in collection laws.
- Advanced Excel skills.
