About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Gynaecological Oncologist to join our team at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board. As a leading tertiary referral centre, we provide specialist gynaecological oncology services and contribute to the growth of a dynamic, forward-thinking department.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Deliver high-quality clinical care to patients with gynaecological cancers
  2. Perform complex oncological surgeries
  3. Lead outpatient clinics and contribute to diagnostic pathways
  4. Participate in multidisciplinary team discussions and decision-making
  5. Teach and supervise junior medical staff, including registrars and medical students
  6. Engage in clinical research and contribute to ongoing developments in gynae-oncology
  7. Participate in the on-call rota to ensure continuity of care for in-patients

Requirements

  • On GMC Specialist Register for specialty / Specialty Registrar with CCT / CESR(CP) due within six months of interview date
  • Sub-specialist accreditation in Gynae-oncology (or projected to complete within 6 months)
