About the Role

This position requires a deep understanding of systems, cloud, and software security. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in systems and software engineering, with a strong background in Linux, orchestration runtimes, and Agile development methodologies.

The successful candidate will be familiar with Python and Go programming languages, but also comfortable learning new technologies. They will be able to work in a creative, fast-paced environment, prioritizing usability and collaboration.

Responsibilities
  • Apply robust engineering and automation practices to ensure security is seamlessly integrated into Beacon's development process
  • Develop software and tooling to continuously enhance security across all aspects of Beacon
  • Embed the expectation of secure-by-default into every interaction
  • Harden Beacon's stack, making it transparent and visible to users
  • Mentor and support colleagues, empowering them to rely on themselves
What We're Looking For
  • Excellent knowledge of systems, cloud, and software security principles
  • Proven track record in securing software and its development lifecycle
  • Familiarity with cloud pentesting and vulnerability assessment
  • Able to collaborate effectively, enabling others without imposing own views
  • Pragmatic and humble approach to problem-solving
Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per year
