Industrial Validation Engineer Job Description

Certain Advantage is seeking a skilled Industrial Validation Engineer to join our team. As an Industrial Validation Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our products by validating the external supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage a portfolio of suppliers and develop an Industrial Validation Plan to ensure successful delivery of parts.
  2. Assess and validate the supply chain and suppliers' capability to meet our requirements.
  3. Conduct Industrial Validation activities such as Process FMEAs, Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) assessments, and Production Readiness Reviews.
  4. Identify and mitigate potential manufacturing and supply chain risks and develop improvement plans.
  5. Manage and validate elements of manufacturing capability transfer from in-house to supplier.
  6. Collaborate with a multi-functional team to ensure successful project delivery.

Skillset and Experience:

  1. A Manufacturing Engineering professional with strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and techniques, with an appreciation for project delivery and project management.
  2. Experience in manufacturing or supplier quality in the Aerospace or Defence environments is desirable.
  3. Ability to support suppliers and customers to develop robust manufacturing systems and control plans.
  4. Ideal candidate will have New Product Introduction (NPI) and/or manufacturing capability transfer experience.
  5. Proficient in Industrial Validation tools such as Process FMEAs, Measurement System Analysis, Process Mapping, and Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) assessments.
  6. Excellent problem-solving skills to develop and implement root cause analysis and improvement plans within Supply Chain.
  7. Excellent communication skills, requiring close working with Design, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality organisations.
