About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Technical Content Specialist to join our team. As a Technical Content Specialist, you will be responsible for creating, reviewing, and updating technical documentation and instructions for end-users. Your primary goal will be to enable users to maximize their use of our platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Creation: Write instructional manuals, user guides, and other technical documentation to ensure that users have a clear understanding of our platform's features and functionality.
  • Content Review and Editing: Review and edit existing content to ensure that it is accurate, complete, and clear. Make recommendations for improvements to content and processes.
  • Style and Document Guides: Meticulously follow style and document guides/standards to ensure consistency and quality in all content.
  • Business Support: Maintain the Business Management System by updating existing and adding new processes, procedures, and work instructions. Contribute to business responses to RFP or other bid/tender processes.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Be actively involved in testing phases to ensure documentation is accurate, complete, and clear.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or another relevant subject (2:1 or above).
  • Experience: 2-5+ years of software technical writing experience. Substantial proofreading/copy experience.
  • Skills: Excellent written communication skills. Proven ability to translate technical information into everyday language. Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, XML, Flash, JavaScript). Experience with graphic programs (Visio, Fireworks, Photoshop). Experience of managing translation projects.

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience of working in an agile environment or with SCRUM processes.
  • Experience of using RoboHelp, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Acrobat.
