Finance Assistant Opportunity

Global Accounting Network is seeking a highly skilled Finance Assistant to join their dynamic team. As a key member of the finance department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of financial processes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review weekly supplier and utility payment reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Set up and manage ad-hoc and weekly supplier payments, ensuring relevant controls and approvals are in place.
  • Perform monthly supplier statement reconciliations to identify and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Complete bank and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy and integrity.
  • Review and process staff expense claims in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Onboard and de-board properties and tenants on the financial system to ensure seamless financial management.
  • Assist with monthly management reporting, budget preparation, and statutory account filings to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Prepare VAT returns and assist with board meeting preparations to ensure financial readiness.
  • Ensure timely and accurate invoice entry, with correct VAT treatment, to maintain financial accuracy.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to achieve organisational goals and objectives.
Person Specification:
  • A degree or AAT qualifications, or similar, with a keen interest in progressing to ACCA/CIMA.
  • Experience in assisting month-end reporting and operating within tight deadlines.
  • Experience in assisting with preparing financial reports and accounts payable.
  • A strong understanding of accounting concepts and principles.
  • Experience with property management systems, such as Zoho/MRI/FloQast, is desirable but not essential.
