Assistant Management Accountant Opportunity

Chase and Holland is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Assistant Management Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Management Accountant and contributing to the success of our business.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assist in the preparation of monthly management reports, providing insightful analysis and recommendations for business improvement.
  2. Manage and maintain our costing database, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting.
  3. Develop strong relationships with multiple departments, providing financial expertise and support to drive business growth.
  4. Perform balance sheet reconciliations, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
  5. Conduct monthly analysis of variances, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  6. Support with budgeting and forecasting, providing financial insights to inform business decisions.
  7. Assist with monthly VAT returns, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  8. Produce ad-hoc reports as required, providing timely and actionable insights to stakeholders.
Requirements:
  1. Previous experience in a similar Assistant Management Accountant role, with a strong understanding of financial principles and practices.
  2. Excellent IT literacy skills, including proficiency in Excel and other financial software.
  3. Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with finance and non-financial personnel.
  4. A drive for continuous improvement, with a passion for delivering high-quality financial insights and support.
