We are seeking an experienced Transport Operations Coordinator to join our team at Morrisons Wakefield office. As a key member of our Transport Team, you will play a crucial role in producing individual Driver schedules that implement the overall Transport plan for the Wakefield operation.

  • Ensure all deliveries and collections meet planned requirements, ensuring seamless operations and timely completion of tasks.
  • Provide guidance on operational issues such as late changes to plans and compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Develop and manage resources for a cost-effective delivery service, minimizing waste and maximizing efficiency.
  • Produce individual plans for drivers within an overall plan, considering factors such as route optimization and driver productivity.
  • Analyze the plan against actual schedules to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance performance.
  • Maintain compliance with safe working practices and working time regulations, prioritizing employee safety and well-being.
  • Ensure policies and procedures are followed at all times, upholding high standards of quality and excellence.
  • Complete associated records and reports, highlighting inaccuracies, issues, or complaints, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Identify opportunities for improved operational efficiencies, driving business growth and success.

To be successful in this role, you should have excellent communication and analytical skills, experience producing reports, and a strong understanding of logistics planning systems. You should also be a strong influencer and capable of credible, impactful interventions.
