Business Intelligence Analyst – A Key Role in Informing Business Decisions

In a market where strategic decisions are crucial to the future success of the business, this new team plays a vital role in providing critical insights to inform and shape the direction of decisions across pricing, finance, management information, and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate closely with senior management to present technical business intelligence findings and drive business outcomes.
  2. Develop and maintain business-as-usual (BAU) reporting within the Business Intelligence function.
  3. Deliver timely and accurate ad-hoc reporting requests in accordance with business requirements.
  4. Challenge and refine business requests to identify the most effective solutions.
  5. Ensure the delivery of robust, governed reporting, including testing, security, accuracy, and consistency.
  6. Develop and enhance existing dashboards in Business Intelligence tools across the organization.
  7. Support strategic data and tool migration projects to drive business efficiency.
  8. Contribute to the production of Business Intelligence documentation.
  9. Analyze key performance indicator (KPI) trends across the business to inform strategic decisions.
  10. Identify areas for process improvement to rationalize existing workflows.
  11. Develop and support Business Intelligence reporting schedules and automation, including streamlining.
  12. Support audit processes within Business Intelligence.

Requirements:

  1. Experience in producing reporting and Business Intelligence through QlikView or similar Business Intelligence tools.
  2. Ability to interpret data to provide actionable insights and direction based on findings.
  3. Able to prioritize multiple tasks and work under pressure to meet senior business stakeholders' expectations.
  4. Experience working with complex data structures.
  5. Business or Numerical Honours degree or equivalent professional experience.
  6. Excellent knowledge of SQL Server.
  7. Strong understanding of relational and dimensional databases.
  8. Good understanding of the Business Intelligence development life cycle.
  9. Experience with enterprise Business Intelligence tools (Qlik, SAP, MicroStrategy, Tableau, etc.).
  10. Effective communication and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  11. Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  12. Experience presenting technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
