Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Design Engineer to join our client's multi-disciplined engineering team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing and developing new and innovative wireless fire detection products, leveraging your expertise in embedded hardware design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, integrate, document, and release new wireless fire detection products, including panels, sensors, communication devices, and user interfaces.
  • Develop specifications for electronic products, assemblies, and components.
  • Create schematic drawings and PCB layouts using Altium Designer CAD software.
  • Plan and conduct tests to verify that products meet performance and reliability goals.
  • Ensure regulatory and safety compliance by providing necessary documentation for third-party approval processes.
  • Resolve design and component-related production issues and implement changes to optimize designs.
  • Utilize in-house prototyping facilities to accelerate the development cycle with early prototypes.
  • Collaborate with project management teams to provide accurate estimates and scope of work for product development programs.

Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of embedded electronics design, supported by a recognized university degree.
  • Ability to create complex circuit designs and schematic drawings using modern CAD tools.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in electronic hardware design.
  • Knowledge of RF design and associated regulatory standards.
  • Good understanding of embedded software and automated test methods.
