We are seeking a highly skilled Electronics Hardware Design Engineer to join our team at Carrier Global Corporation. As a key member of our multidisciplinary engineering team, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of innovative wireless fire detection products.
Key Responsibilities- Design, integrate, and document new wireless fire detection products, including panels, sensors, and wireless communication devices.
- Develop specifications for electronic products, assemblies, and parts, ensuring compliance with regulatory norms.
- Create schematic drawings and PCB layouts using Altium designer CAD package.
- Plan and perform tests to verify product performance and reliability.
- Ensure regulatory and safety compliance by providing required information and documentation.
- Resolve design and component-related production and sustaining engineering problems.
- Initiate changes to optimize product designs, improving performance, minimizing costs, and supporting production throughput and quality.
- Determine material and equipment needs to ensure sufficient resources for project completion.
- Develop or perform operational, maintenance, or testing procedures for electronic products, components, equipment, or systems.
- Support the manufacturing process through definition of factory test requirements.
- Advanced knowledge of embedded electronics design obtained through a recognized university degree.
- Ability to create complex circuit designs and create schematic drawings using modern CAD tools.
- Experience working with RF designs and associated standards for ensuring compliance with regulatory norms.
- Good understanding of embedded software and automated test methods for cross-functional team collaboration.
