Job Title: Head of Academy Recruitment

Colchester United Football Club is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of Head of Academy Recruitment. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the development of our Category 2 Academy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive recruitment strategy to identify and attract talented young players.
  • Work closely with the Academy coaching staff to identify areas of need and develop a plan to address them.
  • Build and maintain relationships with other clubs, scouts, and coaches to expand our recruitment network.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of player recruitment, including match reports and player profiles.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines, including The FA's Safeguarding and Welfare policies.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a football academy or club.
  • Strong knowledge of The FA's Safeguarding and Welfare policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with players, coaches, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance and FA Safeguarding Qualification.
