Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the recruitment strategy for the academy, supporting the planning and delivery of Talent ID days, and building relationships with other clubs to expand our recruitment network. They will also be responsible for ensuring that our Academy Recruitment Database is continuously monitored and updated, and for the organisation, management, and delivery of our Club's policies and procedures for the recruitment of Academy players.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive recruitment strategy for the academy, aligned with the Club's overall goals and objectives.
  • Support the planning and delivery of Talent ID days, working closely with our scouting network and other stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain relationships with other clubs, identifying opportunities for collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Ensure that our Academy Recruitment Database is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with relevant regulations.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for the recruitment of Academy players, ensuring that they are fair, transparent, and compliant with relevant regulations.
  • Line manage and develop our scouting network, ensuring that they have the necessary skills, knowledge, and qualifications to perform their roles effectively.
Requirements:
  • Hold a relevant qualification in football recruitment and development, such as The FA Advanced Principles of Talent Identification & Development in Football.
  • Have a strong understanding of football recruitment and development principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • Have a strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
Person Specification:
  • Be a highly motivated and organized individual, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Have a passion for working with young people and a commitment to their development and well-being.
  • Have a strong understanding of safeguarding principles and practices, with the ability to ensure that our recruitment processes are safe and compliant.
