Job Title: Lead Academy Scout

Department: Academy

Location: Various

Contract: Part-Time - 10 month seasonal contract

The Lead Academy Scout is responsible for identifying players within the grassroots game (U7 U16) that possess the potential for academy registration. This role involves communicating player tips to the Head of Academy Recruitment and implementing a strategic plan to enhance the quality of academy players across schoolboy age groups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend CPD, talent ID days, and trial matches to observe prospective players at the request of the Head of Academy Recruitment.
  • Adhere to the Scouts protocol in the recruitment of all players to ensure the good name of the Club is promoted and not seen as a threat to local league clubs.
  • Undertake any reasonable Club requirements as set out by the Football Club's Senior Management Team.
  • Be responsible and accountable for safeguarding at all times.

Qualifications:

  • FA Level 2 Talent ID
  • FA Child Safeguarding
  • Full Enhanced DBS
