Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and caring individual to join our team as a Care Assistant. The successful candidate will provide essential support and care to individuals in need, promoting their independence and well-being. This is a 30-hour per week position, providing flexibility and work-life balance.
Salary and Benefits
The salary for this role is up to £12.50 per hour, with opportunities for progression and additional benefits, including:
- Paid wait times up to 1 hour
- Paid travel times
- Mileage paid at 45p per mile

Key Responsibilities
As a Care Assistant, your key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting clients with daily living activities, including personal care, mobility, and meal preparation
- Providing emotional support and companionship to clients, promoting their well-being and independence
- Administering medication as prescribed and monitoring clients' health conditions
- Maintaining accurate records of care provided and reporting any changes in clients' conditions
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care
- Implementing person-centred care plans tailored to each client's needs and preferences
- Maintaining a clean and safe living environment for clients
- Accompanying clients to medical appointments and social activities when required
- Adhering to all health and safety regulations and safeguarding procedures
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (preferred)
- Previous experience in care work, particularly with elderly or disabled individuals (preferred)
- Strong communication skills with ability to build rapport with clients and their families
- Proficiency in basic computer skills for record-keeping purposes
- Understanding of person-centred care principles and practices
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends as part of a fortnightly rota
- Compassionate, patient, and supportive nature with a genuine desire to make a positive impact on clients' lives
