About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Engagement Advisor to join our Wellbeing and Inclusion Team at East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will play a key role in providing a comprehensive and professional wellbeing and inclusion service to our managers and employees, with a particular focus on staff engagement and wellbeing activities.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of our People Strategy, with a focus on staff engagement, health, and wellbeing.
  • Work closely with the Senior Wellbeing and Inclusion Advisor on key projects and deliverables, including the health and wellbeing agenda and the annual joint flu and Covid-19 vaccination campaign.
  • Develop and review key policies and procedures relating to staff engagement and health and wellbeing.
  • Coordinate and take minutes/actions arising from the Occupational Health Service Review meeting.
  • Support the contract monitoring of the Occupational Health and Wellbeing Services contract to ensure it is being delivered to the service specification.
  • Lead the Trust's annual staff survey/pulse survey process, working with divisional/service area HR Teams to increase the Trust's overall response rate and develop and implement local action plans.
  • Work in partnership with the Communications Team to promote health and wellbeing, staff survey, pulse survey, and other initiatives to enhance staff engagement and promote positive health and wellbeing of the workforce.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have a CIPD qualification or be prepared to study, and will have experience of operating in an operational HR/wellbeing environment, advising managers on staff engagement, and working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.

They will also have excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills, and the ability to manage and prioritise their own workload, as well as work from home and travel to various Trust sites.
