Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Assistant Team Leader to join our care team in Canterbury. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with complex needs.

About the Role

In this senior position, you will be responsible for leading a team of support workers, ensuring that our service users receive high-quality care and support. You will work closely with the team to develop and implement individualised support plans, promoting independence and empowerment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of support workers to deliver exceptional care services.
  • Develop and implement individualised support plans to promote independence and empowerment.
  • Act as a role model, promoting a culture of empathy and understanding among staff members.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify opportunities for improvement in service user's lifestyles and staff skills.
  • Ensure effective communication and confidentiality when interacting with service users, families, and other stakeholders.
  • Document accurate notes and records as required.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • The successful candidate will possess experience working with individuals with complex needs and hold a Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care.
  • A positive attitude towards behaviour training is desirable, but the ability to demonstrate understanding of working with complex individuals is essential.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Experience supporting adults with challenging behaviour, learning disabilities, and/or mental health issues is necessary.
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure and work effectively in a team environment is crucial.
  • Excellent communication skills and a passion for working with vulnerable adults are also essential.
Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this position is £25,000 - £35,000 depending on experience.
