Radio Systems Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Radio Systems Engineer to join our team at NEC Software Solutions. As a key member of our Managed Solutions team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for our radio networks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide customer support to end users to triage faults/issues
- Provide 2nd line technical support to field-based engineers relating to radio faults
- Provide technical support for the development, construction, maintenance, and optimization of radio networks
- Install, configure, and test radio network equipment and software components
- Undertake repairs of various handheld and rack-mounted radio equipment
- Attend customer sites to perform site surveys, system maintenance, assist with fault finding/repair or project work as necessary
- Participate in out-of-hours telephone support as part of a rota
Requirements:
- 2nd Line Radio repair experience including maintenance and fault resolution
- Antenna, PMR installation and decommissioning
- Experience of Tetra, microwave, and DMR systems, including cell enhancement and repeater systems
- Personal and on-site health and safety
- Liaison with and coordination of both client and 3rd party contractors
- Good understanding of Microsoft Windows and Unix-based systems
- General awareness of RF and electronic test equipment
- Understanding of IP networks/LAN
