**Job Title:** Key Account Strategist

FixMyCar is a leading online marketplace connecting garages to customers in the UK. We aim to provide best value and service for drivers, while offering commercial opportunities to member garages and partners.

We are seeking an experienced Account Manager with proven sales and account management skills to join our team. The successful candidate will have strong industry knowledge and understanding of market dynamics.

Purpose of the Position:

  • Align with Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) on sales strategy and contribute to commercial considerations impacting key account deliverables.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, focusing on retention and new business as primary point of contact for all business-related matters.
  • Understand industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to proactively identify potential risks to business and opportunities for alignment or enhancements.
  • Challenge and constructively contribute to company decision-making processes, prioritizing maintaining/building partnerships, maximizing revenue, profits, and market share.
  • Ensure compliance with local legislation, Niterra HQ, and local policies/procedures, applying structure appropriately or creating/defining new processes where required for efficiency.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Client Management & Contract Delivery:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, focusing on a seamless sales journey considering retention and new business.
  • Manage delivery of contract and align/co-ordinate across organisation where needed.
  • Manage further contract negotiations, renewals, and support CCO with pricing discussions.
  • Understand client requirements ensuring internal alignment on capability and timelines to support accurate proposition.
  • Conduct regular reviews with clients assessing their needs, addressing concerns, and providing solutions meeting their objectives.
  • Explore avenues to enhance partnerships, revenue opportunities, and identify competitive advantage, including tri-party agreements where such would present strategic advantage for all parties.

Client Performance:

  • Identify and develop strategic account plans to achieve realistic sales targets enabling account growth and increased ROI.
  • Analyse client feedback and industry trends ensuring alignment with CCO contributing to any change in service strengthening/growing partnerships.
  • Monitor, analyse, and feedback on sales performance/trends (data, insights) to proactively stay ahead of any risks to account.
  • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts maximising revenue generation.
  • Evaluate and implement suitable processes to streamline/enhance performance.

Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product and Technology) ensuring seamless delivery of products/services and exceptional client experience.
  • Collaborate with product development teams providing feedback and insights from clients contributing to development of new products/services.
  • Collaborate with CCO ensuring correct pricing strategy, marketing strategy, and product roadmap are in place to retain/attract new clients driving sales/revenue.

Training & Development:

  • Educate and influence functional teams aligning on sales journey and importance of exceptional customer service.
  • Provide direction to junior members of sales team aligning on key priorities preventing silo working streams.
  • Create client engagement processes aligning on efficient timely output.

Compliance:

  • Ensure all commercial activities are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations supported by current contract associated statement of works.
  • Ensure robust compliance processes protecting sensitive client/business data.
  • Review current processes implementing new processes (required) mitigating risks to company's systems/data.
  • Operate in line with Niterra HQ processes/procedures/approval matrix.
  • Escalate any risks to business as priority to CCO.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree/equivalent experience in business administration, sales, marketing, or related field and/or equivalent experience.

Experience:

  • 5 years proven experience in similar role, strong industry knowledge understanding market dynamics.
  • Strong sales and account management skills, proven track record successfully managing key accounts achieving revenue targets.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills navigating complex client relationships achieving mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Excellent communication interpersonal skills effectively engaging with clients understanding their needs building long-term relationships.
  • Proficiency in CRM software Microsoft Office Suite managing client information tracking activities producing reports (if required).
  • Proven experience adding strategic value to organisation as key account manager.

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum
