About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Vehicle Systems Integration Specialist to join our team at Oxa Autonomy. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in the development and integration of complex vehicle systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Integration: Integrate complex vehicle systems into a cohesive whole, enabling our software to be developed and tested on our autonomous vehicles.
  • Practical Experience: Work practically with our autonomous vehicles, demonstrating a passion for robotics and autonomous systems.
  • Technical Expertise: Utilize your understanding of the physics of self-driving car sensing technology (LiDAR, Cameras, RADAR) to ensure seamless system integration.
  • Calibration and Testing: Demonstrate your familiarity with all levels of calibration of robotics systems (vehicle, sensor intrinsic, sensor extrinsic) and investigate the combination of the autonomous software stack and new hardware to ensure functionality is as intended.
  • Software Development: Utilize your strong data exploration experience to ensure each new platform is delivered to the same Oxa Autonomy standard, and perform basic software development for integration of hardware and improving the automation process.
  • Test and Debug: Commission a new data logger, write and perform test cases for these systems, and debug electrical and hardware problems for new components integrated on test vehicles.
  • Documentation and Communication: Contribute to internal process documents around the design, test, build, and sign-off of new platforms, and participate in agile planning processes (Jira).
Requirements
  • Education: A degree in Engineering or a related subject.
  • Industry Experience: Automotive, Robotics, or similar industry background in System Engineering.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with Python scripting, or similar for automation, and previous background working with rapid prototyping vehicle software (Matlab / Simulink / dSPACE).
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of CANbus systems, ability to work well under pressure and with tight timelines, positive approach to problem-solving, and excellent communication skills.
  • Desirable Skills: Background of using UNIX/Linux, knowledge of working with commissioning prototype autonomous platforms, automotive industry exposure with prototype test vehicles, hands-on background of building and modifying cars and/or robots, and full driving license.
