Transforming the Waste Management Industry
Biffa is a leading waste management company that is committed to making a positive impact on the environment. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Baler Operator to join our team at our Edmonton site.
About the Role
The Baler Operator will be responsible for operating baler/fixed plant equipment within the facility, as well as occasional forklift and loading shovel operations. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain high standards of 5S in and around the baler area, work to company health and safety standards, and complete daily paperwork including bale counts and defect checks.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate baler/fixed plant equipment to ensure efficient and safe waste processing
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to 5S standards
- Work collaboratively with the team to achieve company goals and objectives
- Complete daily paperwork and reports as required
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience operating industrial equipment in a similar environment
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Experience in the waste management industry is an advantage
