What You'll Do
  • Lead complex and sensitive cases, chair multi-agency meetings, and ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Provide group and individual reflective supervision, especially for newly qualified social workers, and mentor colleagues through shadowing and guidance.
  • Implement systemic practice, utilizing tools like genograms and impact chronologies to engage children and families in solutions-based approaches.
  • Drive practice improvement through quality assurance, performance data, and feedback, and implement action plans for service enhancements.
  • Collaborate with managers on team meetings, training, and bringing in relevant research and lessons learned.

As a social work lead, you'll work with longer-term interventions, primarily focused on child protection or children looked after in court processes. You'll undertake assessments, review plans, chair meetings, and work closely with children and families, including court attendance.
