IT Support Specialist

The Red Hat team is looking for a talented university student to work as an IT Support Engineering Intern to join us in our global support organization. This position is primarily responsible for general IT support as well as performing physical or remote troubleshooting procedures and solving technical problems on computer hardware, software, Audio/Video components, and network connectivity. This includes, but is not limited to, laptops, peripherals, multiple operating systems, and various commercial and customer proprietary software.
As a responsible party for day-to-day IT support, you will serve as a point of contact for internal customers regarding IT issues, requests, and queries. You will proactively monitor ticket queues, chat, and phone to provide support to Red Hat associates. Your role will also include providing general IT support, troubleshooting IT-related problems, and supporting business meetings including audio-visual needs and conference room AV equipment.
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a technical field, you will have the ability to adapt to a fast-paced support environment with shifting priorities. English language proficiency (written and oral) is required, as well as technical knowledge of Linux, Microsoft, Apple OS.
