Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Pharmacist Teaching Fellow to join our Undergraduate Medical Education Department as a member of the teaching team for the University of Sunderland Medical School. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a pharmacist to be part of our dynamic multi-disciplinary team and contribute to providing high-quality education to medical students.
Main Duties
The main duties of this role include planning, delivery, and support of teaching related to pharmacy for the University of Sunderland medical students. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work independently and as part of a large team, delivering evidence-based teaching sessions and mentoring medical students. They will also provide specialist medicines information and guidance to the teaching team.
Person Specification
- Essential: Current registration as a pharmacist with the GPhC, MPharm in Pharmacy, specialist knowledge acquired through a postgraduate qualification in clinical pharmacy, demonstrable prior experience of teaching, and experience working as a pharmacist in clinical environments.
- Desirable: Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE), competence in the use of advanced IT systems, experience of training in/teaching simulation, and experience of giving feedback using feedback models.
