We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Drainage Operations Director to join our team, based at our HQ near Chelmsford.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the drainage sector, with excellent leadership and management skills. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading a team of over 40 drainage engineers
  • Carrying out performance reviews and disciplinary actions when necessary
  • Interviewing and selecting candidates for drainage engineer positions
  • Providing technical support and guidance to engineers
  • Assisting engineers with complex and challenging projects
  • Conducting site audits and assessments
  • Representing the company at various events and meetings as required

You will also be responsible for ensuring that all operations are running smoothly and efficiently, and that our high standards are consistently met.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of the drainage sector and its challenges
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with experience of managing a large team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues and clients
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
