European Field Support Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Support Specialist to join our team at ATS Automation. As a Field Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance services to our customers in the European region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and maintenance services to customers in the European region, including troubleshooting and repairing instrumentation and equipment.
  • Configure and integrate computer systems and software with auxiliary equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repair of BioDot instruments.
  • Train customers on the operation and maintenance of BioDot systems.
  • Travel to customer sites to install, maintain, and repair equipment.
  • Assist in writing technical documents, such as service manuals and application notes.
  • Report activities and maintain local spare parts inventory.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including design engineers, production personnel, and sales team members.

Requirements:

  • HNC in electronics or science discipline is desirable.
  • Experience working in laboratory and/or manufacturing environments.
  • Previous experience as a Service/Applications Engineer or similar technical role is valuable.
  • Knowledge of life science applications is preferred.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and ability to convey technical details to non-technical individuals.
  • Clear communication skills and a team player with the ability to work on independent projects.
  • Project planning and reporting skills.
  • Computer literacy with Microsoft Suite proficiency required.
  • Ability to demonstrate organizational skills managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent follow-up skills and ability to be the customer advocate while managing business success.
  • Tenacity, drive, and self-motivation with a competitive and winning spirit.
