Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated school community in Waltham Forest, London. If you have a passion for supporting students with special educational needs, this is an ideal opportunity for you.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide in-class support to students with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and learning disabilities. You will work closely with the SENCO and other staff to implement personalized education plans (IEPs) for each student.

Responsibilities:

• Provide in-class support to students with special educational needs
• Assist teachers in adapting lessons and resources to meet the needs of individual students
• Support students in both one-to-one and small group settings, helping them engage with the curriculum
• Encourage the development of social skills and positive behaviour

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is highly desirable
• A patient, empathetic, and understanding approach to supporting students
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• The ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
