About the Role
DS Smith is seeking a skilled Warehouse Operative to join our team at Mercia Park. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of our warehouse and production processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to SSOW and company procedures.
- Operate the CAD table or assist with manual operations, including machine feeding, take-off, and order picking.
- Drive MHE, including counterbalance, reach truck, and ride-on pallet trucks.
- Achieve set productivity and performance targets, ensuring consistent quality standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities and perform quality checks on inbound materials.
About You
- Experience working in a warehouse or production environment.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines with accuracy.
- Forklift/Counterbalance Truck Licence.
- Competent at dealing with problems and queries.
- Able to work well independently and with your team.
- Able to learn and follow ERP and Warehouse Management systems.
