Lead Practitioner English Specialist

We are seeking an exceptional Academic Director of English to join our Quality of Education team at Clarus Education Ltd. This is a fantastic opportunity to have a significant impact on our Secondary Academy and support your development in your career.
The successful candidate will play a leading role in the improvement of teaching and learning and academic success of all students in English. They will help ensure the highest standards of teaching, learning, and achievement in the department.
To achieve this, you will work closely with the Head of English and the Quality of Education Team to implement strategies that raise student achievement. You will also contribute to improving the quality of learning, teaching, and curriculum.
As a strong leader, you will be able to build respect and trust so that you can develop strong relationships with pupils, parents, and staff. You will need to be able to think hard before contributing ideas to support continuous improvement and then be able to implement that improvement in the department(s) that you support.
You will also be responsible for monitoring, evaluation, and review of standards and provisions in the English department. This includes ensuring high-quality teaching and learning in English and across the Academy.
In return, we offer a competitive salary of £62,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also benefit from flexible working opportunities, regular professional development programs, and a disruption-free learning environment.
