Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Social Worker to join our Children in Care Teams. As a Social Worker with BCP Council, you will have the opportunity to work with vulnerable children and their families, providing support and guidance to help them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and develop individualized plans.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with children and families, including those with complex needs.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting children and families.
  • Participate in regular supervision and training sessions to ensure ongoing professional development and adherence to best practices.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions with children and families.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Social Work or related field.
  • Post-qualifying award (e.g., Practice Education) or willingness to undertake Practice Education training.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working with vulnerable children and families.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to think critically and creatively.
