About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Veterinary Receptionist at Seadown Totton Surgery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Aiding clients with weighing their animals
  • Assisting the Vet in consults with animal handling
  • Providing a warm and welcoming experience to clients
  • Answering phones and booking appointments
  • Responding to queries via phone, in person and email
  • Registering new clients
  • Completing insurance forms
  • Dispensing medications
  • Taking payments
Requirements
  • Previous Receptionist experience is essential
  • Resilient with the ability to cope with potentially distressing and emotional situations
  • An excellent communicator with strong empathy
  • Excellent customer service skills and experience in dealing with members of the public
  • A positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other database management and operating systems
