Dual Diagnosis Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to join our integrated discharge team in Manchester, supporting the safe and rapid discharge of service users who no longer require a hospital setting.
The Manchester Care Group has developed a multi-disciplinary hospital-based integrated discharge team to facilitate timely discharge from inpatient units across the locality and wider GMMH footprint, reducing wasted bed days in a hospital setting for Manchester locality patients.
Main DutiesThe successful candidate will specialise in the facilitation of a co-occurring conditions clinical model, offering dual assessment, formulation, brief intervention, extended intervention, and planning for clients with complex dual diagnosis disorders.
They will work collaboratively with colleagues and service leaders to agree and implement dual diagnosis plans, addressing the development and sustenance of high-quality practice within the service.
The role will also involve developing dual diagnosis champions, the dual diagnosis group work initiative, and policy and practice within host wards.
